| Ah yes, I love this thread!
I'm currently reading The Happiest Baby on the Block. It's a parenting book. And a fictional piece Spook Country, by William Gibson...I think. It's interesting.

| I am reading The Kingdom Keepers Disney After Dark by Ridley Pearson a fantasy thriller for young readers. Mostly interested in it because it takes place at the Magic Kingdom in WDW. Good characterization so far and it doesn't get too bogged down with description...nice pacing. | |

| Lord of the Flies. Very interesting book. If anyone gets the chance to read it, I suggest it. Not because it's that fun to read, but just because the theme and message. It is one of those books that will leave you thinking about it, weeks after you've finished. | |

Yes, that's exactly what I thought. At first I was surprised it was a required reading at my school, because it was quite graphic, but the whole theme of the book was very intriguing!

Did you cry when P***y was killed? (Asterisks to avoid spoilers)
I watched the movie recently and didn't like it as much as the book.

| I'm reading, The Shipping News by Annie Proulx. Love it! She can be a little hard to follow, at times. She is VERY descriptive. But, every now and then, BAMM! A nugget that you just have to sit there and digest. | |

I'm reading that now! It's a great book. On chapter 21 at the moment. Just finished 'Hunted', the 5th book in the series and thought it was pretty good. The only thing I don't care for with this series is that you don't get very much in a book. I mean because it all happens over the span of a couple of days I feel like the endings are very abrupt. Other than that I find them very entertaining. As for my current read, I just started 'The Reader' by Bernhard Schlink. So far so good. I will have to keep you guys posted as to whether it turns out okay, I haven't seen the movie either.
