PostSubject: Introductions abound   Sun Mar 08, 2009 4:05 pm

Hello all, I'm TepidDreams, any variation there of is cool too. I consider myself a novelist, even if I haven't published a thing, and I have so many stories to tell I'm not sure where I'll begin. I'm a college student studying theater, but I hope to go into film, just a new place for me to create a story, using a camera instead of a pen.

Interesting facts:

Hmm...Well Sara Bareilles's "City Lights" is currently playing through my speakers, but I think I might change back to Rise Against.

I love the color purple, so can I say I love the format here?

I love to read and am currently invested in Paths Not Taken by Simon R Green and Sabriel by Garth Nix, but I'm sure I'll add more soon.

That's all I can really think of, I'll now take questions if anyone has something to ask! Other than that see you all around.

(Yes I am a woman) so yes we take after the same love of the color purple. Very Happy

Well right now I just finished my renderings for my design class (we have to take two theater design classes for the major) So I went swatching for fabric yesterday and it was grand! Surrounded by 3600 bolts of fabric, what can I say I was in heaven! On a more acting type note, my university is extremely into physical acting. Which is completely different for me, because most people, myself included, are used to the more method type of acting. Method is all in the head and the psychology of the character, while physical acting is more about how one builds a character through movement, it's extremely freeing.

As far as writing goes, probably more of a YA type of person, but as I am going through college I can feel that shifting. For many different reasons, mostly just because I am learning more about the world, and I realize how much I did not know and how the world can change. On a more specific note, my current WIP is a story mixing vampires, Pandora's box, and one twisted world all into one.

I am enjoying it, but it's kind of taking a backseat on my reading list as I am sort of in love with the NightSide series that I started, but I fully intend on taking a big chunk out of Sabriel during spring break.

See you all around!

Thats first time i've heard somone outside ireland use that phrase Laughing

Thats really interesting about physical acting, because my training was definitely method! I always found method acting really helpful for getting into my characters heads.

Your YA sounds really interesting! Mweahaha pandora's box!
