It's been a while since I've sat down in front of the t.v. But there is one show that pulls me away from my MS every time--American Idol. I love to laugh and those first few weeks I am rolling as bad singer after bad singer hit more and more off tune notes for my viewing pleasure.
I also love Simon. I know, I know, but something about that British bad boy gets me every time. He is so insanely charming in his rude way. I just can't help it. He has some sort of magic witch-like powers that draw me in. I also look forward with shock and awe every week to see what outfit Paula will be sporting. I have never seen a woman who has so many outfits that make her appear to be wearing nothing at all when the camera hits her just right--and have you noticed that the camera always seems to hit her just right?
The last reason I love this show is because I can relate to it. I, too, am a struggling artist who is trying to make my way in the cruel, cruel world full of Simons who tell me to go away, and Paulas who tell me that even though they don't like my book, at least my outfit is cute.
