My families helping luckily, they don't want me moving anything or lifting even moderately heavy things right now, I'm fine with that. I also don't have that much, I mean our house was essentially furnished when we moved it, it's just putting things in boxes I hate. I'm pretty much done, minus the few things that are out still and the things I won't be packing because I'll use them at my parents.

I'm hating the fact that my two year old has the chicken pox, but really really glad that he's got them now and not when he's older and be even more cranky and mean than he's been. Ugh. Let's just hope my little Eden, who is 4 months old, doesn't get them too bad.

Thanks so much guys! On top of it, now my 4 month old is showing signs, but I think it will be okay.

As if all that wasn't enough, I found out today that one of my closest professors and a dear friend was in a terrible car accident just recently and may not be able to recover completely. I'm just devastated and don't know how to feel just yet. I did get to speak with her today, but she wouldn't say how she was doing, which tells me it isn't good. Just goes to show that you can never be too careful about telling the ones you love that you love them. Life is just too unpredictable.

PostSubject: Re: Let off the Steam!!!   Let off the Steam!!! - Page 2 EmptyThu Jul 02, 2009 4:19 pm

GRRRR!!! I HATE the internet some times. I somehow downloaded something that is 1) making my computer a lot slower than it should be and 2) something keeps going into Internet Explorer and opening up websites that I don't open.

Just today, I got 3 times when IE opened on its own and asked me if I wanted to restore the previous session that was accidentally closed. I didn't do anything to have that happen.

So, just an FYI--remember to run your virus scans everyday.

Also, I will probably not be on until this is fixed. I'm disconnecting the net so that I can find the problem.

Restore your computer to the date before trouble started, PROVIDED you've backed-up your writing.

Everything is backed up and I fixed the problem without having to restore my computer at all. Just took our spyware/adware/malware programs a couple extra times to catch the problem but now I just run those when disconnected from the internet anyway.

Let off the Steam!!! - Page 2 Empty
PostSubject: Re: Let off the Steam!!!   Let off the Steam!!! - Page 2 EmptyTue Jul 07, 2009 10:55 am

This isn't really a 'let off steam' post - I'm not cross, just sad/disappointed.

I found out this afternoon that I'm not going to be going to America this summer. I was going to be going to a summer camp, and was on the Camp America program, had my visa and everything ready, but unfortunately this year with all the problems with the economy, they've had a very hard time getting everyone placed.
I'm not really sure how I feel about not going - I was fine for a while, then I just started crying, and had to just not think about it for a while - I started this post about 3 times. And then I was speaking to my dad on the phone, telling him, and I started getting all croaky again.

I'm trying to look on the bright side - I'm fine-tuning my plans of going round some of Europe, now, but I think I'll be far more excited about that tomorrow. For now, I'm still disappointed about camp. Sad
Ah well, I'll apply again as soon as their applications open for Summer '10, and just wait until next year!

Dae, I hope you get a chance to visit America soon. That's cool that you get to tour Europe though. I hope you have a great summer anyways.

I'm so sick of pregnancy, I've tried to different methods to induce labor today so hopefully one or both will work. Maybe since I did two they'll be even more effective. I have to say, Ghost Pepper Chilli Sauce is very very intense. I can still feel some spicy burn outside my nose.

Dae I am so so sorry! How awful! In a way I can empathize, I've always wanted to go to Europe and most especially Ireland, but in my 30 years alive I've never been to either. But it's even more crappy when you have plans that fall through. I really hope you get to come next year and if you do let us know so that those of us in the US can say hi!

BP - good luck! I don't want to share horror stories, because you've probably already heard enough. Just get some rest and enjoy a few more naps before your little one arrives. I'll be thinking good labor thoughts for you just in case!

Blue--good luck! The thing that induced my pregnancy was walking up and down a steep hill each day. Take it easy going down the hill, but move quickly going up it. I don't know if you have any steep hills by you, but that helps a bit.

Dae--I'm sorry about your camp problems. I hope you can come here to America in the future.

You've backed up your thesis? (I didn't back up the references pages and spent four days re-doing all referencing. It was the time Clifton suspension bridge actually looked attractive and inviting to me!)
