| Thanks for following the blog, ReNu. I hope others do as well. Thanks, Emily. I'm glad you like the site. That website took a lot of long hours to build (it is the first site I've ever done). I'm currently querying on From the Sword which is a novel of suspense set in bliblical times. I've also started querying again (I had started last year but put on hiatus) Yield Not to Evils which I hope to make into a historical fiction trilogy. | Yield Not to Evils is set in the Augustan Age, circa 17-9 BCE. It takes place in Rome and Roman Spain (Emerita Augusta, the capital of the province of Lusitania).
The Augustan Age is my favorite time period in Roman history it is bookended by turmoil and is the last pre-Christian era so we can explore stories of normal Romans living in a time of people under their own value system and mores. | |

| interesting - i wonder have you ever heard of Tarragona? (i don't know the ancient roman name - maybe it is it) but its spanish town in algarve that was held by the romans for some time and part of the town buildings are actually built within the walls of the old city.
I did one year of ancient civilisation; greek and roman - octavious always fascinated me. It was an amazing time, expecially with the previous turmoil with mark anthony and Julius Caesars death. | |
