| I've just finished The Time Traveler's wife. Been up all night reading and its now 7.02am. Such an excellent book that just won't let you go and makes ya cry like a baby Totally recommended it. Scanning the bookshelves for my next read. What are you reading right now? | |

| TTW is one that, although I've heard lots of good things about it from the people who I trust for recommendations, I'm going to give it a miss. I don't like sad stories. Two of the people who recommended it very rarely cry when reading books, and they both said they cried a lot reading that one. So I'll give it a miss.
Currently reading: The Cold Kiss of Death, by Suzanne McLeod.

| I just finished Nick & Norah's Infinite Playlist, which is WAY better than the movie, by the way. Rachel Cohn and David Levithan definitely created two incredibly realistic characters. | |

So far, yes, it's really good. I had to have a break from it to stop myself reading it too quickly! It has more (a lot more) of one of my favourite characters from the first book, as well as a lot of other good things. I'll post a review once I've finished it, and had a little time to digest.

| I am now reading The Work and the Glory Volume 1: A Pillar of Light by Gerald Lund. I like it a lot right now even though I'm only on Chapter 3. But it is very engaging and he takes off into the story and how the main family characters work together or against each other already. | |

| BDB gives you much more choice of nice guys. Bones is great, but BDB has Zsadist, and V, and Rehv...
At Grave's End is the third one, right? I need to track down book 4. Not sure if it's out yet in the UK, but I can still look.

Oh no! Don't do that! Then you won't be satisfied! Currently reading The Scarlett Letter and 1984 interchangeably.

| Ah! Please PM a review later Emily! Sunshine? I got that from the library this summer but my friend told me it was terrible, so I never read it and just returned it. | |

| I guess it depends what you like. Did your friend say what bits made it terrible? I can see how some people would dislike it - it's written much more like people think - her train of thought flows along, so sometimes it appears to go off at tangents. But I really liked it. It's very realistic, I think. It was a different way of telling a story. | |

| I know it's about vampires, so compare it to something else [NOT Twilight] like Interview with a Vampire... did it hold up? | |

| I never made it all the way through Interview with a Vampire - I got bored! Um... I read a lot of vampire stories, and I've seen vampires done in lots of different ways. Yes, I think Sunshine was good. The vampires are seen by society as very definitely evil. There are no exceptions. Sunshine (the MC) is basically 'given' to a vampire at the start of the book, but she gradually becomes friends with him, and then ends up with the dilemma of, should she help him with this thing, or should she trust all the rest of the world that there are no good vampires. If she chooses to help him, what does that make her? How does she keep it from her colleagues, and from the police who know she's hiding something, or several somethings? If you've got it at a nearby library, you can always give it a go - it's not like you've lost anything if don't like it, and it's not like school where you have to finish a book you don't like | |
