Hello all! I was invited to come over and take a look around by emilycross and so far I like what I'm reading. I'm a 30-something mom of two living outside Philadelphia. I write a column for a brand new motherhood magazine (
www.themotherhoodmuse.com) launching in January. In my spare time (haha) I write womens fiction and chick lit if you want to stick me in a genre. I've been writing seriously for about three years ever since I participated in NaNo. I've made writing my full time passion for just over a year.
The unimportant stuff: I have four manuscripts completed and one almost finished and another with a few chapters thrown down. I have more ideas than I have time for
So far I've submitted five times and recieved four polite rejections. Still waiting for number five. I'd love to be published but I think even if it never happens (please let it happen!) I'd still write anyway. I've been known to search under the seats in the car to find a scrap of paper when I get an idea, I kinda drive my family crazy because of it.
I blog at
http://bloggingmama-andrea.blogspot.com and I try to keep a more 'professional' blog at
http://theliteraryside.blogspot.com though it's been sporatic of late.
I'll answer anything you want to know so you can always email me
Writing and publishing may be dog eat dog but I do believe we have to support our fellow writers too. We can all benefit from each others experiences.
