The address in your first post seems just fine, it just wasn't a real link because you didn't have http://
in front of it. What you've done in this post works fine.
If you want to make a link without showing the whole address, then you can use the tags. You want to type:
[url =http:// example url] My Blog (or whatever you want the link words to be) [/ url]
So, you use the square brackets. But you have to take out the spaces I put in - one between 'url' & '=', and the other between the '/' & 'url'
