Woo! Happy twenty-ten, all! Smile

I have a lot of resolutions, actually...but I'll hit the highlights:

* Keep learning. In school, about writing, about...well, everything! Smile
* Exercise every day.
* Work on new short stories & submit to magazines.
* Finish revising tSotD and start querying again.
* Manage my time between blogging and Internet, schoolwork, chores, and life in general.
* Etc...

1. Write something, even if it's not working on a book
2. Work on building more patience
3. Stick to my one chore a day cleaning schedule
4. Slowly pack up the apartment for the move (yet again)
5. Have faith that everything will turn out fine during my husbands deployment
6. Try to check in here more often.
7. Find time to work out

Great idea for a thread!

For me:

1) 10 pages a week
2) Read fiction like the dickens (excuse the pun)
3) Work in writing exercises and other "fun" activities, like research
4) Stick with it

Happy 2010 everyone! Very Happy

Finish short story by March (it's halfway done, but since I work from 10 to 10 on a good day, it'll take a while).

Finish novel by December.

Update blog every week. Read other blogs once a week at least.

Finish first draft of WIP.

This is my number one priority, but I'm really going to have to put my nose to the grindstone if I have any chance of getting that done. My life has gotten so crazy this past year that I'm having a hard time getting more than a couple of sentences written at a time. I want so much to be able to finish this draft and life keeps getting in the way and it's stressing me out. I need to set some scheduled writing times and let the rest of the world go on without me during those times, though that's often far easier said than done.

Very belatedly.... I only have one: to get my WIP finished by the end of the summer - say, by end September 2010. I was 41k in at the turn of the year - now 47k - with a target of 110-120k. It's quite a big ask, but I'm determined!
