Okay. I absolutely LOVED the A Wrinkle in Time series. I swear, every time I read the books again, I learn something new. Did anyone else ever read those books? What did you think? Love them? Hate them? Just read one? You won't hurt my feelings if you disliked them, and if you've never read them, I recommend that you do!

They are -
A Wrinkle in Time
A Wind in the Door
A Swiftly Tilting Planet
Many Waters
An Acceptable Time

The genre has a Chronicles of Narnia feel - the Christian science-fiction-y-ness. I don't consider myself a Christian, but I am a spiritualist, so any form of religion I find very interesting. It's really fascinating, from both a religious standpoint, a metaphysical standpoint, and a science standpoint.

Thoughts?

Also, since it's an author thread, have you read any of her other work outside the series, and do you like it? I have not read anything other than the Wrinkle in Time series, so I'm curious.

I only ever read A Wrinkle in Time, and that was a really long time ago. I do remember that I loved it, though, and I'm almost postitive that my dad has the rest of the series floating around somewhere. If he doesn't, my grandma does. I'll see if I can find them next time I'm at her house...

I've read the first 3 books of those stories. A Wrinkle in Time is my favorite! I loved the other two, A Wind in the Door, and A Swiftly Tilting Planet. I haven't read the others yet.

I know my sister read one of her books about a girl and dolphins? I can't remember what it's called right now since I'm at work actually (shhh...don't tell). She liked it though.

But I absolutely LOVE A Wrinkle in Time. My copy is very tattered from the many many times of reading it. The whole crazy idea of an "exact" utopia is so scary. Where everything and everyone is the same.
