Blue, i think its normal that pregnancy makes your feet swell. How are things going BTW?

I knew about the feet bit, but I hear sometimes they don't go back after and the bones stay all nice and spread. My mom's never did so there's a small chance mine work (aren't gene's wonderful? LOL). Things are actually going pretty well. My friends keep me busy on Saturday and I spend time with family on Sunday. I still haven't heard from my hubby, but hopefully I will soon. I guess boot camp keeps you pretty busy, especially the first couple weeks. I keep telling myself it's a good sign he hasn't called because that means he's ok.

Well you were saying too that they're not allowed to call family in the first few weeks as well? so maybe its that. I wouldn't worry about your husband, more important to concentrate on yourself and the baby! Its great to hear about your friends, they are amazing to have

My new shoes consist of one brown and one black pair of "dressy" flip flop and a pair of keds for when I work out. I love flip flops. If my work site gets mad about it then well that's just too bad. I know the director has been pregnant so she should understand the whole foot discomfort bit.

As much as I love flip-flops, I think flip-flops hate me. :/ I've broken at least two or three pairs from simply walking in them. That little toe-thing that separates your big toe from all of your other toes always break on me. Usually in school. I've had to staple the strap to the rest of the flip-flop in order to be able to make it to my next class. X_X

I'm having a hell of a time finding cheap comfy flip flops around here... the shoe industry is out to get me...

I know what you mean! D: Flip-flops are usually cheap and uncomfortable, and if you want comfy ones they're expensive! I've seen flip-flops for thirty dollars (not sandals)! And I don't want sandals with a heel, because I want to be comfortable. ._.; Why can't I just get cheap, comfy flip-flops?

Teva flip flops are a bit more expensive, but so comfortable. They run about 20 dollars. I've been wearing flip flops constantly since my feet expanded during pregnancy, I love them.

I'm done moving in! I'm so glad that's behind me. I hope I don't have to move sooner than a year and a half. I just need a break.

Mine too...I have one pair of flip flops and they will be my only pair. I don't like them at all. I'm a tennis shoes person.

Yeah, same, but when I do wear them, I wonder whether it's because my feet just aren't used to them. I only seem to wear them for one consecutive week at a time.

I used to be like that, too, but it depends one kind you get. I've had ones that hurt and ones when you don't even feel a thing. I guess it just depends on the brand and price. :/

So today my friend asked me what her middle name was (to quiz me, she didn't forget) and I answered Maria, but it was actually something else. I was like "Really? I remember something with you and that name and you told me something..." and she was like, "We made a character named Ms. Maria for our story, remember?"

Is it bad that I confuse fiction characters with real life people? D;

Ok so i watched oprah today - i'm not an avid fan or anything but if she has anything interesting on i'll watch it. we're about 2 years behind the US so today i saw Susan Still's story about being a victim of abuse and how her 13 year old was made videotape her husband beater and berating her.

I couldn't believe it. i was actually crying watching it, it was just so horrible.

I saw that. I actually watched it in Health class last year. :[ I found it absolutely terrible that someone can really not care for themselves at all. It's like he rewired her mind.

I think its great that it was shown in your health class though. Psychological abuse is always before physical - and its a way of locking someone into a situation where they would normally try and escape. I remember listening to a radio about a women who wasn't physically abused but she wasn't allowed to eat so she had to eat the scraps off her childrens plates when she was cleaning them!!!
